This is the blog that explains all the others. I made my blog world with several categories. I can not cross the same river twice [cit. Heraclitus].

"Straus Park becomes, for Aciman, a place of all kinds of remembering. Its peculiar situation at the intersection of 106th Street, Broadway and West End Avenue affords him phantom glimpses of other cities, other selves – so much so that this “tiny, grubby park” slowly begins to seem like the hub of the universe. And it turns out that Aciman is wrong in jumping to terrible conclusions about it. It is being not destroyed, but restored. In writing about it, Aciman realizes that the city it has restored to him is not Paris or Rome, as he had thought, but a deeper shadow city, the one most essential to his wandering self. This is the revelation that makes “Shadow Cities” such a strong piece, an essay in the true sense of the word, an attempt through writing and reason to figure something out – something important, something lasting. ... [I]t wasn’t Straus Park that I cared about after I read Aciman’s essay – that wasn’t the point – but the idea of Straus Park, that unassuming little place within a place you love that helps you organize your thoughts about all the other places you’ve loved and the person you were when you loved them." The Architecture of Motivation
a. Amygdala, the seat of caring and passions
b. Hypothalamus - coarse grained experience, the inner reptile
c. Hippocampus - converts explicit memory to long term memory, stores these in brain areas for senses corresponding to areas involved - the same areas that originally processed the information (percepts)
c. pre-frontal cortex - explicit memory of people objects, places, facts, events.
d. Visual Cortex - Kant's scratchpad
e. Auditory Cortex - speak-->hear-->speak-->hear (that would be called prayer...)
f. Corpus Collosum - the gain medium for the information laser.
g. cerebellum - just some ensemble of dispositions, you know.
h. working memory - time zero +/- 1.5 seconds
i. long term memory - cerebral cortex supports the -(Dream Now) and +(Dream Now)
j. cerebral cortex - two hemispheres - oh, and this is the imagination laser...
Throw in self-deception and treachery and you have a narrative.
View and Intent:
David Hume, in A Treatise of Human Nature, rejects this traditional characterization of action and its evaluation, offering a remarkable theory in response. He defends the views that the ends or goals of our actions in all cases are given by our “passions,” not by reason, and that the practical role of reason is to figure out how to fulfill these goals. He makes the astounding declaration that “Reason is, and ought only to be the slave of the passions, and can never pretend to any other office than to serve and obey them.” Subsequently, Hume also rejects the analysis of morality in terms of rationality, and argues that our distinctions between virtue and vice are based on shared sentiments or feelings of approval or disapproval we experience toward persons’ characters. VI Planet Diejest
From 1977 to 1999(?) Motorola SPS developed and delivered the 68K ISA to the market. Here is a quote regarding my view and intent: the 68040 is a shadow chip - our actions reflect all integrated circuit design in the 70's, 80's and 90's.
My memories of the time are encapsulated in the Planet Diejest. Like Proust's "episode of the madeleine." in "The Research of Time Lost" or "In Seach of Lost Time" (poorly translated as The Remembrance of Things Past), we remember the past that we care about. It all comes together for me in the Diejest.

Why do you see this all over the place - [3.1416] or [1.62e-35]? I use a totally random footnote/endnote method to avoid rank ordered clarification. The hyperlinks are to wiki articles that have the disambiguation problem solved. You need to read "The Demarcation Problem" and not "The Demarkation between Paper and Plastic" or whatever.
